Men’s Folio Music Fridays (#MFMF) brings you a range of weekly music updates, providing you with fresh new tracks or generally just great music to jam to. Whether you’re staring out the bus window pretending to be in a music video, or getting ready for a night out in the town, we have the perfect playlist featuring our favourite Singles, EPs and Albums from Singapore.

5. Tabitha Nauser

Since late 2016, Tabitha Nauser has been dropping singles every other month. Her second single, “Body Language” is my personal favourite and her most club-friendly single to date.

“Buttons flying from my blouse / glass of wine to the ground / Man, you really want me now / Catch me right before I land / push my arms to the bed / Arch my back, bite my lip” through this lyrics, Tabitha portrays a strong and confident woman who knows what she wants. The video is wicked and really makes you wonder if it was shot in Singapore.

4. Yung Raja

Our cover boy Yung Raja rose to fame with his cover of “Poori Gang” and now we just can’t help jamming out to our yung mustafa! His first official single is catchy as hell thanks to the introductory piano which is then overlaid with pumping beats that really does make you want to move (codeword for twerking). Catch the vivid video down below and don’t forget to get our August issue now in stores!

3. Linying

The first lady of Universal Music Singapore needs no words to describe her music other than, late night gems.

2. Gentle Bones

I clearly remember first hearing a Gentle Bone’s track at Zouk. (I’m basic, I know) But I have come such a long way, and now know his songs word for word. His most recent release, “I Wouldn’t Know Any Better Than You” has garnered over a million views on Youtube. A mid-tempo track that should draw you in and if that doesn’t, I don’t know what will.

1. Sam Rui

You might have heard “Better” but just know that Season 2 has even better tracks. Season 2 was released in 2016 and is packed with sultry jams that make you want to …. Boys and love are her main subjects throughout the album and can be witnessed on tracks such as “You” and “20,000” where you hear Rui croon over mellow backing tracks. Standout tracks include Don’t Lie, Boys, Down (feat. Fauxe), Solid Gold.
