The Bottega Veneta’s Wardrobe 04 accessories of bags and shoes are vessels designed to stand out in the quietest fashion with meticulous details that are hidden while next-generation use of materials enrich them as engineering marvels of our time.

In our previous coverage of the Salon 03 collection, ex-creative director Daniel Lee delivered his final act with a try-all display of Bottega Veneta’s modern legacy. In other words, where displays of innovation were executed, they were neither gritty, try-hard, nor pretentious. Under Lee’s reign, Bottega Veneta has become one of the few brands without having ever spoken a word in the age of over-communication. With neither a presence on social media nor peacocking status levels with monograms and logos, the House has survived as the only brand reserved for those who “truly know”.

But as the storied Italian House focuses on renewing its identity with the serene, nonchalant and easy fix of newly-appointed creative director Matthieu Blazy (Who was head of design at the House previously), the newly-released Wardrobe 04 collection is a combination of both senses. Discreet — as instructed by Daniel Lee — and uniformed — as instructed by Matthieu Blazy — Wardrobe 04 is an amalgamation of Bottega Veneta’s revived energy in the 2020s that still evokes its ethos from its early founding days.

As a teaser of what’s more to come, Wardrobe 04 is available in stores now. Iconic pieces such as the Puddle and the Cabat makes a statement return in new seasonal colours, and the Slider and Jelly easy-to-put-on shoes are boundless in its modernity.
