The Louis Vuitton 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries exhibition runs from 4th April 2022 to 27th April at the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza.
Just a few months after its 200th birthday, Louis Vuitton is once again dedicated to building its world. Beyond Louis: The Game that features Vivienne, its runway shows that cherishes both boyhood and the concept of forever and its super set of seasonal hit items, the exhibition is a culmination of everything the French House stands for: friendships that flourishes with talents and friends from the arts and culture, the sciences, sports, global causes industry who in turn, have taken time to personalise the House’s emblematic trunk.
While one might recognise familiar names — Supreme, Peter Marino, Lego, Liu Wei, our March 2022 cover stars BTS, Cao Fei, Fornasetti and Hypebeast — the Louis Vuitton 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries exhibition features four rooms. First, is a briefing room and second is the main space where original art pieces anchor the House’s universe with screen-panelled “Magic Trunks” and a robot-trunk of Monsieur Louis himself.
The last two rooms include an open dreamscape panomara (hint: it contains trunks designed by each member of BTS) and an audio speakeasy featuring a 200-track jukebox. As for the tunes curated by British DJ and producer Benji B., they make some great audio background music while one watches video interviews or browse books.
The Louis Vuitton 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries exhibition runs from 4th April 2022 to 27th April at the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza with opening hours being 6pm to 10pm on 4th April and 10am to 10pm from the 5th to 27th April. The exhibition is free of charge and open the public so all you have to do is register here from 1st April onwards.
