At the height of Gucci’s centennial, the Italian luxury Maison reveals a new Lifestyle category — bringing the wonders of its craftsmanship to the details of everyday life.
“I could have included them in the collections long ago, but they were not strictly related to clothing and accessories. That’s why I wanted to build a whimsical space where they could be laid out, to restore to everyday life that sense of wonder that makes them so dear to me,” shared Gucci creative director, Alessandro Michele about the unveiling of Gucci Lifestyle alongside Gucci Cartoleria.

Gucci Cartoleria is a temporary store opened in Via Manzoni 19, Milan earlier in September (it concluded on 17 September) and is Gucci’s take on the traditional Italian stationery store. Stocked with the Gucci Lifestyle collection, Gucci Cartoleria echoes the “cabinet of curiosities” inspiration as Michele viewed the well-made, everyday objects as bringing a magical, mysterious and wonderful aura into the daily routine.
Stationery items constituted much of Michele’s growing up years and made the creative director who he is today. Through Gucci’s craftsmanship, the stationery items in Gucci Lifestyle serves to enchant everyone in realising their dreams like Michele did.

Notebooks available in Gucci supreme canvas or Demetra material — from renewable and bio-based sources then tanned with the same process for animal-free raw materials — are filled with FSC-certified pure cellulose paper to record every dream, big and small. A smaller hexagonal notepad is also made available for a good complement.
To write on such distinctive and precious stationery, the House has developed a new refillable pen following the rules of “Divine Proportion” — the proportional relationship between cap and barrel expresses the golden ratio. Hand-made pencil boxes that include six graphite pencils each are also available for those who prefer to smooth over their original writings. A vivid proposition in the form of 40 hexagonal, cedar wood Caran d’Ache coloured pencils housed in a zip-up case is made for those who want to colour their life.

The Gucci Lifestyle collection brings to life items for leisure and entertainment — playing cards in cases covered in GG supreme, hand-crafted bio-resin dice sets and briefcases containing either a poker or a backgammon set.
With much of our lives spent resting, the Gucci Lifestyle collection devotes much-needed attention to sleep. There is a set containing sleeping masks, pillow and mules crafted from environmentally sustainable silk and viscose, and printed in a variety of House designs. Developed for maximum comfort, slippers and satin silk pyjamas are also designed for luxurious slumbers.
The Gucci Lifestyle is proof that everyday life does not have to be mundane — the vitality one breathes into it ensures that magic can possibly occur at any second.
