Oliver Peoples is opening their vault of chic and easy-going eyewear to Brunello Cucinelli — known for its ultra-fine Italian craftsmanship to European style. Infused with architectural influences from Solomeo and references to the glamour of classic Italian cinema, the five-style collaboration marries their pioneering heritage — embodying the craftsmanship and humanistic standards of both brands. This is also the first collaboration Brunello Cucinelli has ever embarked on. If the romance of vintage films appeals to one’s aesthetics, the collection would be available to be brought home to live out his tender moments at the end of September.

Double Up
A love-child capsule collection between Japanese leather goods brand Hender Scheme and Tod’s is coming soon to the Tod’s boutique and Dover Street Market Singapore. While much of the collection is still shrouded in secrecy, one can expect the unmistakable creative style and leather craftsmanship of Hender Scheme founder, Ryo Kashiwazaki in each of the products. The innovative project is part of Tod’s Factory — a creative laboratory born to realise unconventional projects with designers and artists from the world of luxury. The collection will launch in September with an event during Milan Fashion Week.

Perpetual Adoration
How does one immortalise a leather bag and maintain the constant of perpetually cool celebrity associations? Make a timeless carrier that looks great regardless of the variations one can make of it. 100-year old Italian Maison, Gucci has continued to flex its popular heritage with the Beloved Autumn Winter collection launching in September, ahead of the highly anticipated Gucci Aria collection. Featuring an amalgamation of the New York cool and the easiness of European styles, the Jackie 1961 variant amongst many Gucci classic shapes are set to draw in more fans.

Flight Plan
Travel might still be a thought of fiction but the joint collaboration between luxury Houses Fendi and RIMOWA is an anticipation of a new travel revival. In what appears to be a flirty affair of craftsmanship and engineering the next statement travel companion, the RIMOWA Classic Cabin serves as the base for inspiration while plastered with Fendi details and Cuoio Romano leather handles on the top and side. Inside, a modern neoprene black lining sports the signature black-on- black embossed FF logo. These new personalisations will be ready to be packed for travel from September in selected Fendi stores from September and on fendi.com.

The Must Know Fashion News in September 2021 Givenchy 4G
Rewriting History
While several Maisons’ classic leather bags might have a reputation of being uninspiring — generic silhouettes bearing a plaque of the brand name — Matthew Williams is set on changing the narrative with the introduction of the new Givenchy 4G bag. The decidedly glamorous and genderless associations of the 4G bag are the fruits of Williams’s endeavour to bring a new attitude to the iconic French Maison. The inclusion of urban points of view — a simple yet recognisable chain draping over a sleek leather body — sets the Givenchy 4G bag to becoming a classic bag that punctuates the senses as a statement bag should. For Fall/Winter ’21, timeless and rich hues of forest green and chestnut, as well as fresh accent shades of lilac and ivory are introduced for a seasonal update.
