Pictured Above: Summer Calls For Comfort
A praised quality for an essential pair of shoes is the right for comfort. Therefore, as an expert in quality craftsmanship and enthusiasm for refining menswear codes, Ermenegildo Zegna provides the ultimatum — the two new shoes of its lifestyle Luxury Leisurewear collection.

With utility in mind, artisanal construction methods are reinterpreted for the season ahead with the introduction of the Valencia Espadrillas, which features the House’s signature l’Asola strap inspired by the hand-stitched buttonhole and tailoring heritage of Ermenegildo Zegna, and a soft suede exterior that exudes a subtle sense of luxury.

The elevated Triple Stitch Sneaker now comes in new material and spectrum of colours, with a lightweight and breathable canvas replacing the leather in a step forward — making it even more effortless and adaptable than ever before.

The Must Know Fashion News in June 2021The Everlasting Icon

The expanding Gucci-fled wardrobe of British pop singer, Harry Styles is often an anticipation of trends before they hit the mainstream. For his red-carpet look at the 2021 Brit Awards, the star chose a lone, bamboo top-handle bag as an accessory of choice — the Diana bag.

It comes at a time that sees bags, once designed and claimed as powerful tools for females, reinterpreted for the contemporary man.

The Diana’s introduction dates back to 1947, where notable variations over the last decades were famously adorned by Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly to Kate Moss and Rihanna. Now, one could expect to see the bag become a favourite among male celebrities, with a rapid update of highlighted bands bringing a sense of modernity to the well-aged Gucci OG.

The Must Know Fashion News in June 2021Bathed In Medusa’s Light

The bronzed adonis of all, American singer Cody Simpson lends his charm to the new Versace eyewear collection with an evolution of the Medusa style that has since remained as an iconic charm of the fashion sphere for the last four decades. Now with a hollow, tactile cast that embellishes contemporary openwork eyewear frames, the collection rehashes iconic menswear shapes that best suits the taste of the latter-day men.

Most prominently, the mental framed aviator style features a Medusa emblem cast between the double bridge and embedded into open-wire temples. The futuristic sun style is also back with rimless shield lenses, wrapped lens spoilers, and a wraparound metal top frame as an update to the statement silhouette.

Pops Of Life

Just when one might think Kim Jones’ extensive take on energetic menswear can not get any better after his Dior Men Fall ’21 collection, the newly-released Dior World Tour capsule of vibrant, monochromatic adaptations of familiar House accessories has now set the bar even higher.

Available from June, the iconic B27 sneakers — as well as the Saddle belt bag and other leather goods — will now come in solid colour blocks of the original Dior Oblique motif. Seamed with an original perforated leather, the innovative limited edition variants perfectly considers the ease of wear without removing the sense of luxury the House of Dior is remarkable for.

To top if off, each pair of shoes comes with a leather shoe case that can be hand carried or placed over the shoulders.

An Exchange Of Worlds

The second range of the capsule collaboration between the American professional basketball league NBA and Louis Vuitton artistic director, Virgil Abloh has arrived.

First announced in January 2020, the three-year creative partnership widens its scale with an exploration of 1990s court-side mania through the House’s distinctive high fashion lens. The Pre-Fall ’21 second range — designed in tandem with designer Don Crawley — imitates the wardrobe of a professional basketball player in three dress modes: travel, game, and press conference.

Notable styles include a blouson and pants emblazoned with a floral motif, while heavy lettering of the Louis Vuitton logo in the typography of the league is set to take centerstage.

Seizing The Day

While one may find sneakers that cater to specific personalities. the updated Day Master sneaker from Dolce&Gabbana is a triumph in statement-making with charisma in mind. Power-dressing of the 1980s serves as its main inspiration for the sneaker that caters to both genders, now filled with volume and dressed with colourful shapes.

While things have changed, stretched jersey and rubber remain as key features in the updated style, with leather details and trim on the sneaker adapted with the different colour-ways to showcase the Dolce&Gabbana logo in a refreshing, youthful light.
