Tying Up Loose Ends

  • By Khoo Yong Hao

The end of November is nigh. With each passing day, we come a step closer to the season of joy, and the woes of constructing a killer outfit for the upcoming Christmas parties can no longer be swept under the rug. Instead of crossing the bridge when it comes, have a gander at the Pre-Spring’19 footwear offerings; these sneakers are bound to walk the talk, rounding up your outfit as you let loose.

Gucci

These purposely dirtied sneakers from Gucci have caused quite the stir on social media, We, however, beg to differ. Slip into a pair of these fashionably distressed sneakers to exude a nonchalant vibe like you don’t give a damn. Having to constantly be wary of where you tread in a party is such a killjoy. Not anymore.

Givenchy

Givenchy’s famed JAW sneaker makes a return this Pre-Spring, and this time the  high-top sports a textured toe cap as compared to its matte predecessor. The iconic fang-like sole is here to stay, but the updated reiteration of the sneaker also features a classic shoelace system instead of a sleek zipper. Much more wearable if you prefer a less futuristic-looking piece of footwear.

Salvatore Ferragamo

Just when you thought the logo-mania is over, this pair of Salvatore Ferragamo high-tops doesn’t hold back when it comes to logo-plastering. The house’s unmistakable gancino in the shape of a backwards-facing horseshoe runs amok, setting the high-tops apart from any bland competitor on the dance floor.

Jimmy Choo

For the more audacious, consider taking these diamond-soled kicks out for a spin. The shoe draws distinct inspiration from a multi-faceted diamond, and this particular model goes above and beyond to ensure its wearer is pushed into the spotlight. Featuring an exotic sterling silver-dipped python upper, this one is bound to draw the eyes of unsuspecting onlookers.
