Rayban Gives “The General” Aviators a Seasonal Update

  • By Shelton Chang

First created in 1987, the General was a tribute to the late Lieutenant Douglas Macarthur. Armed with stylish, military-look rims and a double bridge, the design drew inspiration from the OG Aviator, with a tougher silhouette that exudes retro confidence. This year, the military-inspired aviator is given a modern revamp after two decades, updated in four hues: cool metallic, classic black, military green and copper flash gradient and various gloss finishes.

Be it sunglasses or an optical piece, the General will give your outfit an instant upgrade with its chic shape and utility-style aesthetic. We suggest you go subtle and let the General command attention while you rock a classic white tee and jeans combo.
