OF THIS MINUTE: Mont Blanc’s fascination with Leonardo Da Vinci

Montblanc commemorates one of the greatest of Italian artists, Leonardo Da Vinci with the Great Characters Limited Edition Leonardo. A limited edition writing instrument that is based on his idea of human flight, the pen details his plans for flying devices. The body (cap and barrel) is made or anodised aluminium (used in building aeroplanes), while platinum-plated fittings are an interpretation of Da Vinci’s studies on wedge connections.

We love how the nib has an engraving of the artist’s love for bats (which featured in many of his drawings due to his fascination flying) and a sketch of a mechanical wing.
