The second part to Tod’s “On the Italian Roads” campaign reaches a destination.
Following the first installation of their Spring Summer release, Tod’s continues the celebration of Mediterranean summer with the second chapter of the “On the Italian Roads” campaign. While the first chapter follows the journey of the cast traversing through the Italian foothills in their orange van, the second part sees them finally reaching a destination; an essential stop for any summer vacation — the beach. The new collection introduces a wardrobe full of summer essentials which are adaptable from day to night, coloured in sandy hues; getting one ready for the holidays.
Outfits for the day are kept to lightweight fabrications such as cotton and raffia. Crisp cotton shirts and linen trousers are apt for days lazing by the deck; book in hand and a refreshing drink by the side. Accessorise with a pair of sunnies and the new Gommini slip-ons. A practical choice for footwear, designed with a miniaturised version of the iconic Tod’s pebbles on its sole and by the heel. Top the look off with the T Case bag in raffia to store your sunscreen and other summer essentials. An overall casual yet comfortable look where one can easily slip on or off for when it is time to go for a dip in the ocean.
Meanwhile, the evening is kept formal yet still relaxed. Suits are cut looser, done in a heftier cotton for special dinners but also for practicality — to preserve heat for when one takes a walk by the beach; protecting against the night’s breeze. Suede loafers amplifies the formality of the ensemble however, pair it with the T Case bag in vibrant shades of sky blues, sunshine yellows or intense greens which took inspiration from the Tuscan Hills to add an element of fun to the overall look.
