Tracey Emin laments it in ‘My Bed’; an installation preserved in memory since 1998 that examines the mess created of soiled relationships that wrestles with sexuality.
Like Ermin’s work, this season—more than ever — drifts the tension of living with the sublime. The bigger question to ask instead: What will we wear when we dream of electric sheep?
To open the Fall Winter 2022 menswear season, we imagine clothes as symbols of lucidness in dreams, with its ability to shape shift and conjure characters that would not exist in the waking world. After all, fashion is fantasy, and fantasy is suggestive — we urge you to take it as a dream deep in your memory.
