The emblematic CD Diamond, reimagined by Kim Jones, is back on accessories from the Jack Kerouac-inspired collection.
The CD Diamond has come a long way since making its debut in 1974. Originally designed by Marc Bohan, the timeless CD Diamond motif made an appearance earlier this year with Dior Men’s Summer 2022 collection. More recently, the graphic pattern has punctuated bags and accessories, keeping in theme with other creations from this Fall’s sportswear-meets-couture collection.
The refined print comes in Dior Gray this season, in remembrance of Monsieur Dior and the grey Granville sky he held close. The B23 Sneakers also feature a black and sand-coloured version of the sporty motif for a casual touch. And of course, the beloved Saddle bag is adorned with the print and coupled with rope detailing, for a burst of texture.
The House’s Lingot line of bags – the pouch, messenger and briefcase – are all speckled with the CD Diamond. A homage to the heritage of the maison, the symbol finds itself placed on the accessories from the ‘On the Road’ collection, as a mark of Dior’s continued commitment to savoir-faire and elegance.
