Dunhill Gentleman’s Eyewear Reflects Elegance

  • By Men's Folio

Although Dunhill was originally rooted in the world of motoring and cars, that definitely doesn’t put a damper on their stylistic capabilities. In fact, it makes it even more interesting, especially in how they weave those influences in. This Spring/Summer 2016 eyewear collection sports equal parts British style combined with Italian know-how, taking from the long standing aesthetic codes of the house – refined details and materials.

These glasses sport some of those signature features: the iconic double “L” of the Dunhill longtail logo, and the metal plaque. Their hallmark barley pattern is also engraved in the metal core, and can be viewed through the transparent acetate on the inside of the temples to add subtle refinement. Gold and silver prevail as the metal styles, and the full range of tortoise shell shades dominating the acetate styles, together with classic black and blue.

Those are just the surface features but the frame is well perfected to fit. All frames are made with a universal bridge, and all sun-glasses come with anti-glare lenses. Half of the models are also polarized for the optimal optical resolution.

The whole collection will offer four main product families:

Longtail – referencing the primary logo and universal signature

ICON – in tribute to Dunhill’s creation of unmistakably singular products

Heritage – made specially in reference to Dunhill’s rich automotive history

Facet – a brand signifier used on Dunhill time pieces and hard products since 1936.
