Gucci Loves Kids Paris Masters Foulard 1

Under that gruff Italian exterior lies a great green heart: Frida Giannini has designed a limited edition foulard—that’s a largish scarf in English—to mark Gucci’s sponsorship of this year’s Gucci Paris Masters, the fourth edition of this prestigious international show jumping race, as well as to drum up awareness and funds for Amade, the World Association of Children’s Friends.

The silk twill foulard’s cheerful, very Christmasy red-green-white colorway is done up in a scalloped rosette print, a celebratory motif culled from the archives of the House; one of these rosettes also cleverly incorporates the Amade logo. An impeccably crafted objet d’art, each piece was hand printed using a serigraphic process, while the edges of the fine silk twill were painstakingly finished by artisans employing traditional Italian techniques.

The foulard will retail for €280 during the Gucci Masters in Gucci’s temporary store, located in the “village” of the competition grounds from November 30 to December 2. The limited edition scarf will then be rolled out exclusively in the Parisian Gucci boutiques over the next two months.

Best of all, the house has pledged to donate €20,000 to Amade from the proceeds of this foulard. Find out more about Amade and the good work they do for children’s rights around the world, and start calling your European friends to see if they can get their paws on one for charity!
