When it was first unveiled, many people knew what to think about Devon Works. Haute horology was at a loss as to how they wanted to identify with the brand’s offerings. The timepieces shared many traits of the today’s luxury watch makers but the suppliers were vastly different. Instead, materials are sourced from the aeronautics industry and manufactured in the United States of America (USA).
Also (to the horror of traditionalist and Swiss watch purists), it was still running on battery. However, it was not long before Devon Works started winning over fans and went on to be selected as a finalist in 2010’s Geneva Grand Prix in the Design and Concept Watch category.
