Zegna’s new Outdoor Collection reengineers its luxury leisurewear to withstand the forces of nature, in collaboration with esteemed sport and performance brands like La Sportiva, Garmin and Sigg.
Zegna’s pride in the way it celebrates heritage is undeniable, and much warranted. How it has transformed the mountains of Piedmont, Northern Italy into Oasi Zegna is a testament to their commitment to environmental restoration, and now this embrace of nature and its wonders extends into its new Outdoor Collection — a series of leisurewear designed for both an urbanite and explorer, that comes furnished with accessories made with esteemed sport and performance brands La Sportiva, Garmin, Zai, TSL, Sigg and Kask.
Designed with the pillars of performance, technicality and modernity in mind, the Collection is crafted from a host of technical textiles and imbued with practical details for ease, promising functionality for both the modern explorer and everyday cool-weather wear.
New ergonomic fits are combined with innovative textiles and construction methods to create a full wardrobe of outerwear, knitwear, jersey underpinnings, technical sweaters and trousers — essentially mapping out a complete solution for outdoor living.
As a tribute to the values and ideas that have defined the brand for over 110 years, all the garments of the Outdoor Collection are stamped by the Zegna 232 road Brand Mark. This double-stripe Vicuña-coloured graphic representation is inspired by a 26km road paved in the 1930s, and connects Oasi Zegna to local communities — proof of a dynamism integral to Zegna’s identity.
On the accessories front, Zegna and La Sportiva have come together to create a pair of boots — the TX Top GTX Boots — whose water-repellent mesh uppers set on a durable Vibram sole make it ideal for mountaineering and traversing.
They have also collaborated with Swiss label Sigg to produce an aluminium water bottle, refined with the 232 road brand mark.
For those who ski, the brand’s collaborations with Garmin, Zai, TSL and Kask will be of interest to you. Garmin’s Venu 2 Plus Smartwatch is hallmarked with the Zegna 232 road brand mark, and is programmed with health, payment and safety features — especially indispensable on the ski slopes. Ergonomic ski poles with a convenient folding system and a pair of snowshoes have come out of the partnership with TSL, while Zai produced some high-performance skis to add to the suite.
And last but not least Kask’s matte ski helmet; equipped with an anti-fog double-lens visor and leather chin strap.
There is nothing more telling of Zegna’s genuine devotion to the arresting allure of the Earth’s wonders now that their nature-made products are made for the very rigour of nature.
