As summer approaches in the coming months, Loro Piana invites us into to pace at a slower rhythm with its Resort 2026 collection. Designed less for spectacle, and more for the feeling of quietly slipping away. Presented through an immersive pop-up experience at ION Orchard, the collection unfolds like a brief Mediterranean escape tucked into the middle of everyday life: warm, light silhouettes, sun-faded colours, and the kind of ease you can truly feel during the holiday season.
Resort 2026 captures the fantasy of going MIA over the weekend without ever leaving the city. Linen becomes the season’s defining language, appearing across fluid blousons, relaxed trousers, lightweight tailoring, and soft-structured dresses that move naturally with the body. Loro Piana never complicates a silhouette; intentionally so, echoing back to their audience and the general sentiment towards clothing that feels lived-in rather than overly styled.
The palette is a mirrored reflection of summer. Aquamarine blues, coral reds, sandy neutrals with classic whites evoke a Californian dusk after spending time beside cool water and the harsh sun. Shell motifs, striped cottons subtly reference the Mediterranean without appearing costume-like. Accessories continue the understated mood: suede sandals built for long days, shell jewellery, and supple bags that feel equally suited for a resort town or a weekday errand.
A Loro Piana activation always appears itself to be more than just any other run-of-the-mill pop-up. It’s a temporary state of mind. Accompanying the drop are visuals photographed by Annemarieke Van Drimmelen in a modernist Palm Springs setting, further leaning into a quiet retreat. Moving through the desert landscapes, to the stone interiors, to the pools cast in late-afternoon light, the imagery follows suit with the collection’s ultimate goal of striking the balance between refinement and total ease.
Summer dressing doesn’t have to be hard at all. The act of the getaway is maximalist in itself. Escapism is the drama and your stage costumes shouldn’t outshine your performance, but rather enhance it. Loro Piana’s Resort 2026 is the purest reflection of that.
