Maison Martell, the oldest of the great Cognac houses, has just announced that Chinese actor Eddie Peng will serve as its new global spokesperson for Martell Noblige. This appointment commemorates the new look of one of Martell’s star products, the new bottle reflecting the blend’s desire to be a rallying cry for the young and audacious, a bold attitude embodied by the slogan “soar beyond the expected“.

Comprising of a minimum of 100 eaux-de-vie from the finest terroirs in the Cognac region and boasting a delicate taste that showcases the Maison’s focus on exceptional quality, the Martell Noblige celebrates over three centuries of savoir-faire and innovation. This is only possible because of the brand’s desire to grow past its limits, and Eddie is someone who shares these same values in his insatiable appetite for self-improvement and growth. Striving to be  more than one of the silver screen’s most recognisable heartthrobs, this exquisite pairing could not come at a better time.

photographer and film director Wing Shya — a long-time collaborator of Wong Kar-Wai. The film mirrors Eddie’s journey in overcoming obstacles and ignoring the naysayers to reach where he is today, spotlighting him as a leader and inspiration to the new generation of cognac enthusiasts to strive and aim high in all their endeavours.

This film will be presented at The Heeren’s large outdoor digital screen along Orchard Road in March to announce Eddie’s appointment, a move that also reflects Martell’s pursuit of constant renewal. Engaging the novel naked-eye 3D technology — which allows onlookers experience the effect without the need for 3D glasses — will be a first for the spirit brand, as the takeover by a spirit brand is a first for the outdoor digital space.
