The Louis Vuitton Horizon Aluminium Is Your Celeb’s Go-to Travel Pick

Carry it all in this aluminium carryall.

Ah, the classic Airport Look. Almost everyone has seen a variation of it to some capacity. Before K-Pop idols posed in front of the Departure hall doors of Incheon to dozens of flashing cameras with pre-planned posing strategies and coordinated outfits, one of the earliest popular instances of the Airport Look came more than 30 years ago, when power couple Victoria Beckham and David Beckham were photographed lugging giant LV-monogrammed carryalls onto the luggage trolleys at Heathrow.

We’ve advanced into 2016 now, and the world is gets an introduction to the Horizon, designed by the influential industrial designer Marc Newson, most famously, or rather infamously, known as the mastermind behind the Lockheed Lounge chair. For 10 strong years, the Louis Vuitton Horizon was the one of the essential luggages that was spotted on the hands of every A-list celebrity you could imagine.

Now, another 10 years later, and the Airport Look gets another modern refresh with the Horizon Aluminium. Sleek, robust, and still donning the monogram (albeit less loud, rather now the silhouette and design speaks for itself ), it’s LV’s 2026 refresh of their iconic rolling suitcases.

It’s not just any other aluminium suitcase you can find on the anywhere else either. It’s the first ever rivet-free aluminium suitcase on the market. That means a higher resistance to water and dust penetration, lesser complexities in repairs, and an evenly spread out stress concentration on the main frame of the suitcase. How did they achieve this? An ultra-thin frame system replaces conventional rivets, creating a cleaner and more advanced construction. Formed from a single-piece, full-depth 3D mould, the aluminium shell is free from folds and rivets, setting a new standard in luggage engineering.

Luggage technology has never been better. Already seen on stars like Felix and BamBam, the Horizon Aluminium is already taking over the infamous Airport Look. We’ve come a long way from Posh Spice and Spice Boy greeting the paparazzi with their XL-sized carry-alls across the grimy floor, and the Horizon Aluminium feels like the most natural evolution of celebrity travel style.
