The Best Soundtracks of FW26, So Far

It wouldn’t be a fashion show without killer music.

By Dhani Salbini

Fashion Week isn’t just about the clothes, the celebrities, or the pop culture moments. It’s also about the choice of music, and how it can deeply affect the way we perceive the clothes. Runway music is an art in itself, and it is often selected by the designer to convey an overarching message alongside the collection. Could it be sentimental? Horror-esque? Or something else entirely? Whatever it is, if the imagery doesn’t stick with you, the music at least will. We’ve gathered some of our favourite runway soundtrack picks down below.

Prada

Our picks:
Ghost Rider by Suicide
Theme for Thought by Virgin Prunes

Prada continues to score their shows with doomsday-themed songs that give their models a little pep in their step. Ghost Rider by Suicide is one of the many songs by the band that have been featured on the Prada runway, like Rocket USA.

Ralph Lauren Purple Label & Polo Ralph Lauren

Our pick:
One More Night by Michael Kiwanuka

Ralph Lauren’s FW26 show featured an Americana-inspired soundtrack that accompanied the looks, sonically reflective of the Ralph Lauren legacy.

Louis Vuitton

Our picks:
Disturbing The Peace by A$AP Rocky (ft. Pharrell Williams)
Sex God by Jackson Wang

Pharrell Williams’ Louis Vuitton is not only fashion-forward but music-forward. Each song that finds itself on the runway is always A-lister backed and met with high anticipation and expectations. A feast for both eyes and ears.

Dior

Our picks:
Alesis by Mk.gee
ROCKMAN by Mk.gee

Jonathan Anderson’s sophomore show for Dior was heavily inspired by singer-songwriter Mk.gee. The show opened and closed with his song, Alesis.

Chanel Haute Couture

Our pick:
Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve

Bitter Sweet Symphony soundtracks the final moments of Matthieu Blazy’s first haute couture show for Chanel, marking a sentimental milestone in his tenure at the house.

Dior Haute Couture

Our picks:
Teardrop by Massive Attack
Glory Box by Portishead

Underground music collides with high-fashion spectacle. Trip-Hop legends Massive Attack and Portishead score Jonathan Anderson’s debut haute couture show at Dior, almost reminiscent of Raf Simons’ first show with Aphex Twin scoring the models walking down the runway.

Jacquemus

Our pick:
Love To Love You Baby by Donna Summer

A 10-minute version of Donna Summer’s Love To Love You Baby plays throughout the entirety of the Jacquemus show. It’s addictive, sensual, and also an earworm.

Willy Chavarria

Our pick:
INTERLUDE by Feid

Willy Chavarria’s FW26 runway was beyond spectacle. INTERLUDE by Feid is one of the tracks that soothes the energy of the show after bursts of high-octane moments.
