Veronica Fusaro is set to bring her soulful, jazzy sound to the green and gold of The Botanic Gardens at sunset on 8 June 2024.

Swiss soul-pop artist Veronica Fusaro is set to bring the curtains down on Swiss Weeks, a six-week-long celebration of the friendship between Switzerland and Singapore, with her clear, bright vocals and jazzy sound to The Botanic Gardens next Saturday, 8 June 2024. Counting the likes of soul/R&B royalty the late Amy Winehouse and Alicia Keys as her musical inspirations, the crooner has graced renowned stages ranging from Glastonbury in the UK to the Eurosonic Festival in The Netherlands.

Besides the promise of an engaging solo performance, the concert will also cost nothing to attend — making this a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the intimate green and summer gold of The Botanic Gardens at sunset while vibing to soulful tunes with friends and family. While the event is free to attend, pre-registration also grants entry into a lucky draw, with five Swiss goodie bags and $50 vouchers from Huber’s Butchery up for grabs.

For those of a gourmet-based inclination, Huber’s Butchery has also put up special menu offerings as part of Swiss Weeks till 8 June. Three dishes Swiss dishes, namely Chilli Crab stuffed in Brioche Swiss Roll with Chilli Crab Sauce ($16), Swiss Zopf Roti John ($19), and Toasted Carrot Cake Slices with Kaya Frosting ($12), are infused with familiar Singaporean flavours.

Additionally, Swiss-based visual artist Dan Acher’s Borealis outdoor art installation has also been set up at Gardens by the Bay’s Supertree Grove, illuminating the night sky every Monday from 8-8.30pm, and 9-9.30pm on the weekends. As its name suggests, the installation combines layers of light and cloud particles to recreate the magical splendour of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) amidst the sublime grandeur of the Supertrees. Accompanied by an atmospheric soundtrack by French composer Guillame Desbois, the variations in wind, humidity and temperature make the installation a fascinating blend of light and technology.
