BTS Releases Album 'Proof' With Three New Songs
Everyone’s favourite K-pop boy band BTS is back with a new album and three unreleased songs. Here’s everything you need to know about ‘Proof’.

BTS’ highly-anticipated album Proof is finally here! This three-CD anthology album will act as a reflection of the band’s past, present, and future – featuring the group’s most popular hits along with three brand new songs in honour of their upcoming ninth anniversary.

Before the release of the album, the boys shared their thoughts on Proof and what it personally symbolises to each of them. BTS leader RM starts: ‘Proof’ is a special album that wraps up Chapter One of BTS’s story as we face the ninth anniversary of our debut. As the focus of the album is our message for our fans who have been together with us for the past nine years, we paid the most attention to our lyrics.”

The rest of the group also took turns to express their feelings towards their ninth anniversary and the celebratory album. “There are new songs and unreleased songs on the album, fans will be able to enjoy listening to it as well, says Jin. “I myself will be listening to it often.”

“I felt that it was all the more special because [working on the album] allowed me to peruse the other members’ emotions as well as my own, and because we were able to talk about them together,” continues Jimin as he describes the creative process behind the album.

V also remarks: “I sincerely hope that it will become a precious gift for the fans who have always cheered us on and have made history for us.”

As ‘Proof’ marks the group’s newest album since their last one in 2020, many of the members are happy to release a large body of work for the first time in a while. “I’m excited and overjoyed,” says member J-Hope. “I want to enjoy [the album] together with our fans as quickly as possible. Since [the album] contains BTS’s soul, I hope [the fans will] give it lots of love.”

“It feels like we’ve been writing a really thick book and are now finishing it,” Jungkook explains. “It’s an album that does a good job conveying BTS’s story up until now, as well as our current feelings.”

Finally, Suga goes on to explain how to best listen to Proof: “We paid careful attention to how the songs were organized on the album. If you listen to the album starting from the first track, there’ll be a certain fun in listening to it [in order].
