Benjamin Khoh (@mrbenjaminkhoh) juggles multiple professions but that has not stopped him from founding TheSkinBrand® and turning it into a success story.

What are the different roles you play and how do they interact with one another?
Being a lawyer and a skincare entrepreneur illuminated different sides of me. Working in my role as a lawyer feels like a calling — one that seems too natural for me while being an entrepreneur feeds my sense of accomplishment.


What are your tips to drawing the line when managing various pursuits?
My schedule these days can be very tight as I have to juggle between my legal career and the other businesses. As such, nowadays I have learnt that I need to be discerning in prioritising my social calendar.

What are some of your passions in life?
Right now, I am very excited to have my own beauty company. I stay religious to a quote by Edith Head that “you can have anything you want in life if you dress for it”. Skincare routine definitely forms part of one’s appearance.

What is one big takeaway from 2021?
Positivity is a formidable tool to navigate through life’s pursuits!

Tell us about TheSkinBrand® and what spurred you to start the skincare line?
The hero product of TheSkinBrand® is no doubt the Rejuvenating Serum containing 20% Ginsetonic® concentration. As an avid skincare user, I tried many different products across numerous brands and I was looking for a product to combat ageing, rejuvenate and nourish the skin with beneficial nutrients. For me, results claimed by the products had to be scientifically proven to satisfy me — many are marketing gimmicks, unfortunately.

After ample research looking at clinical trial reports, I decided to star the Korean Ginseng in our first product. I am humbled by its success grossing six figures in the first two months of the launch.

One of the key ingredients used by TheSkinBrand® is Ginsetonic®. Can you share with us what is so special about it and its uses?
Using patented technology, TheSkinBrand® was able to isolate and extract Ginsetonic® in the purest form – for maximum penetration and absorption into the skin. Ginsetonic® holds the key to all the benefits of the Korean Ginseng wherein clinical trials were seen to help prevent and repair premature skin ageing caused by Ultraviolet B (UVB), radiation and air pollutants.

It also enhances wound healing caused by burns and promotes blood circulation to the skin. Its light texture is loved by the users; we have seen repeat purchases as close as a week after.

The TheSkinBrand® Rejuvenating Serum is the only product available, for now. What are the expansion plans of TheSkinBrand® in 2022?
From the raving reviews we are getting for the Ginsetonic® Rejuvenating Serum, I’m confident there is no parallel to it. That being said, we are currently in research and development for our second product targeted at combating acne. The product is in phase one of development and the results look promising.

We strive to ensure that we only provide the best or nothing — as part of the company’s “No Compromise” philosophy. I am personally very motivated by our success thus far and there are plans to expand aggressively both regionally and internationally.

Are you able to share a skincare tip for Asian men?
Cleanse well and use adequate sunblock daily. UVB radiation is the main aggressor for premature ageing, irreversible pigmentations and wrinkles. It is also the main leading cause of skin cancer and suppression of the immune system.
