Men’s Folio is proud to unveil the second edition of the Blue Ribbon Watch Award for the timepieces that stood out amongst its peers.
TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver — the All-Rounder Luxury Tool Watch Award
TAG Heuer’s new-generation Aquaracer Professional 300 series is joined by the cult favourite Night Diver — the latest iteration of the luxury tool watch. Highly functional, robust and resilient, the Aquaracer Professional 300 is engineered to soak up nature’s harshest challenges as it sets a new standard for extremeperformance mechanical watches. Its versatility goes beyond a dive watch as it is equally capable of taking on dry landscapes with its well-tuned ergonomics. A twelve-sided bezel offers better grip even when used with gloves and short curved lugs allow the Aquaracer to sit comfortably on the wrist.
The Night Diver lives up to the tag of an all-rounder luxury tool watch with the addition of a black DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating. DLC is known as a high performance, hard-wearing finishing that stands up against extreme conditions. TAG Heuer treated the majority of the Night Diver (stainless-steel case, bezel, crown, case back and clasp) in DLC coating and paired it with a black ceramic bezel insert and sapphire crystal for extra security.
Another standout feature of the Night Diver is its fully luminescent dial which appears stark white by day and glows bright green by night. The trademark horizontally engraved lines are treated with superluminova and are contrasted against blue luminescent painted sword hands for maximum legibility under low light conditions. TAG Heuer’s robust automatic Calibre 5 movement is the final touch to the new-generation luxury tool watch.
