With his firm grasp on the zeitgeist, Kim Jones’s debut collection for Dior Men Spring/Summer ‘19 is designed for the modern man who relishes in freedom and fun, sprinkled with a hint of irony.

A slew of creative maestros was commissioned to punctuate the collection, heralding the era of change. New York-based pop artist KAWS gave the Dior name and its iconic bee a playful and fresh look, both of which found its way onto T-shirts, jackets, trousers, backpacks, and pouches. Sunglasses and buckles, designed by Matthew Williams of ALYX, and jewellery by Yoon of Ambush, such as the KAWS bee pins with pink or yellow crystals, serve as felicitous accents to accompany the looks. A house icon, the Saddle Bag is reinterpreted for men for the first time, while casual pieces like jeans and shirts were given a vintage and couture treatment with intentionally visible coloured threads.

Serving as a glimpse into Kim Jones’s new direction for Dior Men, these creations will be available starting December 1 at selected Dior boutiques around the world as well as Dior’s e-commerce website and WeChat.
