“From Shanghai to New York, via London and Johannesburg, Whisky Live is the international tasting event that brings the world’s major capitals to life throughout the year!”
Going strong for eight years and counting, Whisky Live Singapore has been coined as Southeast Asia’s premier whisky and spirits event. Organised by La Maison du Whisky (LMDW), the event takes place this weekend (25-26 November) at Robertson Quay: TheatreWorks and Singapore Tyler Print Institute (STPI).
Both connoisseurs and amateurs can delight in over 70 whisky and spirit brands available for tasting. The extensive range even includes rare and exclusive bottles. “Ardbeg 1976, Yamazaki Sherry 2013 and the Springbank 45yo are some of the collector’s dram VIP ticket holders can expect to savour at the Collector’s Room. There are also special drams from LMDW Artiste Collective and Artist #7 series at the VIP Room”, says Mathieu Musnier, general manager of La Maison du Whisky.
Visitors can expect top level masterclasses with rising stars of the whisky industry, as well as some of the world’s most famous distilleries. And let’s not forget the line-up of best bars in Singapore along Cocktail Street, accompanied by food partners, and many other experiences including workshops and an art exhibition.
Aimed to create a fully immersive experience this 2017, La Maison Du Whisky believes that whisky and art are intertwined, with Musnier stating that “the gallery at STPI offers a peek into some of the works that have gone into labelling.”
“Besides print, there will also be a photo exhibition which takes our guests on a journey to the Caribbean islands, where some of the best rums are from. Artworks from Lino di Vinci, La Maison du Whisky’s Artist #7 for the Artist series will be displayed at the gallery.”
Whisky Live is an event not to be missed, as one discovers new tastes and shares the experience with like-minded individuals over a weekend.
