What are two things we love at Men’s Folio? Whiskey and weekends. Proof & Company is bringing to us two days of sunshine, barbecues and good ol’ American whiskey on May 20th and 21st – from 3 pm till late at The Great Escape on Beach Road. Expect a line up of Singapore’s finest American whiskey brands including Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam, Hudson, Southern Comfort,Van Winkle, High West, Michter’s and more, four world-renowned American cocktail bars, and plenty of American food and whiskey-related activities. So grab a friend or two to join in the fun and experience the warm, inclusive American whiskey culture.
There are loads of activities for you to take part in: Sip inventive cocktails (SGD10 each) at pop-ups from four of Singapore’s most famous American style bars, and eat superb American food, including tasty hamburgers by Travis Masiero of Blue Label Burgers and BBQ from Dave Pynt of Meatsmith. Taste fine and rare whiskeys at the complimentary Tasting Bar and win fabulous prizes at a Blind Tasting Booth featuring whiskeys from our partner brands. Aficionados can learn more about your favorite whiskeys with Master Classes led by a panel of master distillers, brand ambassadors, and industry experts. And last but definitely not the least, party into the night with DJ’s spinning classic American rock, soul, and hip-hop.
There will also be rare bottle sightings at the Whiskey Weekend. Lucky guests may even get the chance to taste rare ones such as Blood Oath Bourbon Release #3 and Willett XCF Exploratory Cask. A series of masterclasses will explore the heritage of some of our favorite brands, with guided tastings led by the team from EC Proof, Manhattan Bar and visiting Master Distillers.
