You know him as the star of Suicide Squad and Thirty Seconds to Mars. Now, Jared Leto has added another feather to his cap – he’s the star of the new Gucci Guilty fragrance campaign. And we’re not entirely surprised. Leto has been creative director Alessandro Michele’s male muse of sorts, sitting front row at the brand’s shows and dressing in Gucci’s boldest togs on the red carpet.
Besides enlisting Leto, the campaign’s setting is pivotal in expressing Gucci Guilty’s all new narrative. Michele selected Venice, with its misty cobbled alleyways and the baroque palace where the campaign video was filmed. Composed as a set of flashbacks, by Glen Luchford no less, the campaign is one of sensual intrigue, showing the before and after of an intimate experience shared by Leto and his co-stars: models Julia Hafstrom and Vera Van Erp.
Gucci Guilty for Him opens with invigorating Lemon, and is intensified with seductive notes of Lavender and Patchouli.
