Made famous by the success of the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Brancott Estate now presents a new wine range, harvested from the distinctive terroirs of the Awatere Valley vineyard also located in Marlborough. The cooler and drier climate of the area has produced a wine that features lifted aromatics, a crisp balanced acidity and an intense flavour.
Available for purchase from March this year, the Terroir Series 2014 comprises two main wines: a Sauvignon Blanc and a Pinot Noir. The Sauvignon Blanc presents a vibrant fragrance of citrus Tahitian limes mixed with blackcurrant leaves and undertones of wild thistle. The palate is crisp with a lingering finish of pink grapefruit.
Meanwhile, the Brancott Estate Terroir Series Pinot Noir 2014 is rich and smooth, with lovely perfumed vanilla characters on the nose, which lift to reveal savoury and tobacco notes with aromas of black cherries. The palate consists of sumptuous and soft tannins and balanced sweetness, supporting flavours of cherries, raspberries and plums.
The Brancott Estate Terroir Series is available for purchase at select restaurants such as Zafferano and Salt Grill & Sky Bar. For more information, please contact Pernod Ricard Singapore at [email protected]
