Although the C-01 will bear the Lotus name, it actually has been developed by Kodewa, one of Lotus’s racing partners, in collaboration with the Holzer Group. As such, it is not a Lotus per se, nor was it designed, engineered or will be produced by Group Lotus. In fact, the Lotus C-01 is a collaboration between Kodewa and Kalax who are licensed to use the Lotus name.
The C-01 will have a limited 100-example production run and was designed by Daniel Simon, famous for his work at Buggatiand on the “Tron Legacy” motion picture.
Constructed from a mix of steel, titanium and carbon fiber, it is powered by a 200hp, 1.2-liter V-twin engine, with its power derived via a 6-speed gearbox. A range of sexy colours such as the John Player Special black and gold from Senna’s early years to the legendary British racing green from Jim Clark’s latter are up for consideration.
The bike will be available in a choice of liveries referencing Lotus’s racing pedigree, and, as with all vehicles this exclusive, a customisation service is available and is said to be limited “only by the imagination of the client.”

It is expected that this motorcycle will go in to production in a few months. Lotus is yet to reveal pricing
