When we first heard about this project mid last year, there were many who suspected that it was all just some huge hoax. Well, guess not. Centred on social media and instant printing, Polaroid has announced its plans to release the first ever Socialmatic camera within the first half of this year.
The chic-looking device will be running on Android and will feature a 14-megapixel camera on the front and a 2-megapixel lens at the rear. Storage is said to start from 4GB and can be expanded with a microSD. Besides the built-in WiFi, the ink-free paper is to be supplied by Zink. However, prints don’t come cheap, with prices starting from $199.99 to $299.99
