Inspired by the lattice buildings of India, Surya illuminates the very idea of brightness with three beautiful round trays that come in three different colours each. Filled with sophisticated architectural iconography, India’s walls are covered with exuberant floral and geometric motifs, majority painted in psychedelic colours. These latticed walls are used in most dwellings and public buildings, because they allow sunlight and breeze to penetrate through, making the room cool and bright.
In this collection, all three trays, Cube, Weave and Star, have different traditional Indian motifs on them. Sculpted in high relief to illustrate the beautiful designs that resemble a tiled texture, each motif comes in three different finishes – a brilliant pewter finish and two other colours, Blush and Amber. Both Blush and Amber energise the collection with a subtle tinge of pink and yellow respectively.
