This is it guys, a first glimpse at Converse’s collaboration with contemporary label Maison Martin Margiela. Did we expect anything gaudy or crazy? Of course not, it’s Margiela for goodness sake; but they’ve managed the turn the footwear brand’s iconic staples into a genuine piece of art in its own right.
The high-top Chuck Taylor All Star and low-top Jack Purcell were given the famous Margiela unbranded makeover and stripped of all form of identity; the All Stars were painted in pure off-white color, disguising the persona of the shoes for what ultimately is an artistic statement.
