We all know that designers are taking a crusade against underage models, but iconic eyewear label Karen Walker takes things to a whole new level! With faces as young as 3 to 5 years old, “the campaign is about optimism and playfulness,” Walker says, “the idea was always for [the collections] to be presented as bookends… that brings in the kids’ open-eyed, playful point of view.”
The children, with adorably named Claudia, Tyler, Elise and Alice-Rose, were shot by photographer Derek Henderson — with each kid modeling one of the four new Karen Walker styles, “you have to go with the flow with kids as they kind of do their own things. We didn’t ask them to do anything specific, we wanted them just to be themselves — we were simply there to capture it.”
The new collection will launch on the 5th of September! So keep your eyes out to keep your eyes in!
