The Gods and Goddesses from Versace’s Spring/Summer 2013 crusade was nowhere in sight in the label’s latest punk inspired campaign. It was “stripped back to the raw power of the clothes and models. There’s no set, no distraction, just the provocation, glamour and attitude of our fashion,” Said Donatella Versace of the extremely simple yet commanding images. Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the menswear campaign for features Travis Smith (Versus F/W 12 campaign), Dominik Bauer (Just Cavalli F/W 13 campaign) and Matt Trethe (Candy magazine) in all the glory that is reminisce of vintage Versace advertisements circa Gianni Versace in the 90s. With a bare background and extremely groomed models, the overall campaign has a very attentive mood that’ll strike out when readers skim through the varying publication it resides in.
