Gosha Rubchinskiy’s collaboration with Burberry might come as a surprise (or controversy) to most, but creative director Christopher Bailey managed to tap onto the Russian designer’s streetwear sensibility to refresh the house’s historic icons, creating a capsule series that speaks closely to youths today.
Outerwear pieces are reimagined in oversized shapes, from the Burberry trench coat in two-tone honey and navy cotton gabardine, embroidered with Rubchinskiy’s initials, to the car coat with a check cotton-twill bib front and a reversible Harrington jacket. Signature check is celebrated throughout – on coats, inner linings, a short-sleeved shirt and tailored shorts, and hats designed in partnership with British milliner, Stephen Jones.

Gosha x Burberry will be available online and in selected stores globally from 6 January at Burberry, Dover Street Market (including Dover Street Market Singapore), and Comme des Garçon concessions .
