Hello there, streetcar of desire. BMW’s scored another coup with their new coupe for 2013—and by golly, it’s beautiful. A souped up version of the popular 3-Series sedan, the new model is way sportier and more muscular in profile, while still retaining the lithe grace you’ve come to associate with the Bavarian Motor Works company.

For starters, it’s about 50mm longer, 45mm broader and 16mm lower than the current 3-Series coupe, mere millimeters that make all the difference in the overall heft and sheer blitzkrieg of the beast when seen at a standstill.

Other design bells and whistles that we appreciate: the seamless sloping transition from front to back, those futuristic hexagonal LED headlights and elongated tail-lights (also full LED, so we’ve heard), that lend the car a low-slung, feline vibe. Wheels are also an impressive 20 inches, with a cool 3D effect from the multiple alloy spokes.

Peer into the cabin and you’ll get the full-on BMW experience: all heavenly chocolate leather and Bottega Veneta-esque Intrecciato woven detailing on the seats and inner doors—definitely one for the true-blue BMW Individual.

The 4-Series is expected to make its official debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January; expect full tech specs then. In the meantime, admire these wallpaper-worthy shots of the new beauty—and start mentally picking out what outfit you’ll pair it with, perhaps?
