Not kitschy or kiddish, the 2021 Dior Advent Calendar is designed in collaboration with London-based artist illustrator Alice Shirley as a tribute to the architecture of the house’s iconic Paris Boutique. And yes, if you’re a Diorette or a Diorsieur, you’d recognise the House’s iconic motives like flowers and bees — a subtle flex if you open it in front of unsuspecting guests.
“And through the many windows we can see the garden beyond stretching to the horizon… A dream in the mind, encapsulated in this fairytale book to escape to on cold winter nights filled with stories.” says Alice Shirley herself. If we could summarise it for you, it’s 24 days of full blown delight. In fact, you might even want to be a grinch about it this season.
