"Snake On Apple Trees" by Rinni Wulandari is Here To Touch Hearts and Minds
Indonesian singer Rinni Wulandari has bucked the trend of what it means to be an Insert-Country Idol winner. Firstly, it’s her longevity — three consistently timed album launches that have debuted to fanfare — and fanfare which is in equal measures for both streams on Spotify and the hearts on Instagram. Secondly, it’s how she’s been equally consistent in her sound — music influences of the 1990s R&B, gospel and soul, three genres that have the ability to touch hearts and souls.

Here, Rinni Wulandari takes us through her fourth album titled “Skins“, that in her own words are “singles that make up my album which also represent the layers of life experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today.”

Born Ready” is about the act of motivating myself based on my career and life experiences. I’ve been through ups and downs, rejection, failure, and being distrusted and I’ve spent a lot of time blaming myself for just about everything. And, there came a time when I couldn’t even believe in myself anymore. I would tear up with everything I do but I’d rather to stay fight for something I really want.

“Keep on Movin” is a song that is inspired by my personal experiences — from the ups and downs of my life and career but still moving forward and not giving up. Even though many people are trying to knock me down and get in my way, I’m still singing because it is my passion and motivation to keep on working today.
“Feel Good” is a song that describes self-love which means loving yourself. We need to accept and appreciate all that is within us, both our mind and heart.
“Takut Nanti Rindu” is a song about the importance of a child for parents. To me, Nord’s presence is so important that I am willing to leave my career for him. My career dreams and ambitions have changed and it’s no longer what it used to be.
“Take My Hand” is about hope which people lose sometimes because of disappointment. If you trust yourself and be grateful for what you have, you’ll find hope.
“Kites” is about my friendship with my best friend. We’ve known each other since we were young and even though we live in a different city, our friendship will never end.
“Home” is about my son. Even though I’m busy sometimes, everything I do is for his future and he is my home.
“Entertainer” is about the life entertainers live. With being an entertainer, you have to be professional no matter what problems you’re facing because you have to entertain others.
“Seasons” is about true friendship, one where you might not see each other often but the both of you will always be there to support each other.
“Seutuhnya” is a song based on my story with my husband. He makes me feel complete.
