Restaurant Zen

Unlike its unassuming name, the food served at this intimate Nordic shophouse restaurant is nothing but peaceful. Chef Björn Frantzén’s Swedish restaurant serves a whirlwind of complex textures and flavours for its dinner-only tasting menu. One the most expensive restaurants in Singapore, this Swedish adventure is an out-the-world experience you won’t want to miss.

Preludio 

The world is made up of shades of grey, but Preludio’s monochromatic chapters will change your mind. With every dish carefully paired with a wine of choice, this culinary experience is nothing but black and white. Although red might the colour to induce hunger, we realised that going back to basics might not be so bad after all.

Basque Kitchen by Aitor 

Helmed by one Michelin-starred Chef Aitor Jeronimo Orive, this young restaurant serves up something unfamiliar on Singaporean shores – Basque cuisine. Expect elevated homely dishes coupled with techniques he learnt from top restaurants in the world such as Mugaritz and The Fat Duck. The Marmalade Pantry 

This bistro may be a familiar name to locals, but The Marmalade Pantry will be opening its flagship store at ION Orchard on 25 February. In collaboration with Chef Gen, runner-up to Masterchef Singapore, their flagship exclusive desserts include twists on local favourites like Kaya Toast and Mango Sticky Rice.
