Diamond is Unbreakable

  • By Marcus Li

Had Michael Jackson not meet his untimely departure and continued making great music and “Thriller-esque” music videos, he would be celebrating his diamond birthday today.

To celebrate, BOSS will be releasing a new edition of the iconic suit that Michael Jackson wore on the cover of his game-changing 1982 album, Thriller, limited to 100 pieces globally, each individually numbered. Crafted from lightweight twill, the jacket is detailed with an 1980s-style three-button cuff, slim notch lapels and iconic internal workmanship. The perfectly cut trousers feature double pleats at the front, also in homage to the original design. Elegant mother-of-pearl buttons complete the suit.

We know The Weeknd will want to get his hands on it, and if you want to look like you date Bella Hadid, you should too. However, if your internet is not fast enough because you’re using <insert your internet service provider> and all of the suits have been snagged, fret not, as three unisex t-shirts, each featuring iconic moments in Jackson’s career, round off this unique capsule.

Now that you’ve gotten your new threads, and are wondering where you should take your OOTD for your sick Instagram post, you’ll be glad to hear that BOSS is a main sponsor of  the landmark exhibition, “Michael Jackson: On the Wall”, which opened at the National Portrait Gallery, London on 28 June. The exhibition explores the influence of Michael Jackson on contemporary art worldwide. A rendezvous that leaves you with a post that will be liked by more than a third of your followers, and inspirational fuel for your creative pursuits that will add onto Michael Jackson’s influential legacy.

All four products will go on sale today, online and in selected BOSS Stores worldwide. The project will also be supported by a distinctive social media campaign using the hashtag #BOSSxMichaelJackson.
