Dunhill SS16 Leather & Woven Outerwear Draws From Racing

  • By Men's Folio

For Spring/Summer 2016, Dunhill pulls back to its roots in motoring accessories with new leather and woven outerwear inspired by pit lane zip-up team blousons.

Leather outerwear was a large part of the brand history, being one of the earliest and most popular items of clothing Alfred Dunhill designed for the gentleman driver.

On the woven side of things, British and Italian mills were selected and used in accordance with their ability to work on certain fabrics. All the mills used are long established with rich histories in developing their specialist fabrics. With a particular emphasis on color, John Ray’s palette is meticulously worked throughout all product categories. A great deal of work is dedicated to ensuring a simple cotton canvas or waxed cotton check is tweaked and scrutinized extensively in order to maintain Dunhill’s standard of quality
