Raf Simons Moves To New York Fashion Week

  • By Henry Boen

After all the headlining news of leaving Parisian fashion house Dior, and being appointed creative director of Calvin Klein, Raf Simons’ name has once again resurfaced with plenty of fashion buzz. Raf Simons has confirmed his plans to shift his Fall/Winter 2017 men’s collection from Paris to New York Fashion Week next February.

The move is a logical one. Raf Simons shifted to New York due to the commitments to both men’s and women’s Calvin Klein collections while also taking the chance to leave the scene in Paris to show his eponymous brand to the New York market. Steve Kolb, President and CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) says: “His creativity and energy are a welcome addition as we continue to grow this important platform for American menswear.”
