Berluti Pour Krug Limited Edition Bags

  • By Ian Lee

A historic piece from the House of Krug – the dark cherry notebook of the champagne house’s founder Joseph Krug – has become a central source of inspiration for the artisans at Berluti. The two houses started working together in 2015, and the cherry hue is to the House of Krug what the patina is to Berluti. When the two kicked off their collaboration, shoe-champagne pairings became available in Berluti’s stores worldwide, and the signature colour of Krug entered the permanent range of the Parisian shoemaker.

Now, the pair take things further. They are embarking on the next chapter of their tie-up with two exclusive, 100-piece limited edition bags called Short Journey and Long Journey. Berluti’s famous Un Jour briefcase has been redesigned as dual-purpose bags – to serve as champagne carriers for bottles and glasses, and travel totes for the storage of shoes. Both styles feature an outer zip pocket, microfiber lining and a bag charm in the shape of a bottle of Krug Champagne. Short Journey has three removable compartments, while Long Journey features six removable compartments. The latter also lives up to its name by holding up to three pairs of Berluti shoes.
