Co-organised by OFCA International, Yogyakarta, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) has specially invited three founding artists of a contemporary art collective, the Kelompok Seni Rupa Jendela or Jendela Art Group, to showcase 22 unique artworks from 1st October to 20th November in an exhibition entitled: poetical state of mind. works of Handiwirman Saputra, Jumaldi Alfi and Yusra Martunus.
The exhibited artworks, ranging from installations to woodcrafts to paintings, highlight each of the three artists’ expertise. Though the mediums differ, the three distinctive artists unify as one in their approach in bringing out an underlying message of contrasting the popular norm of social and political commentary in Yogyakarta art. The sensual and conceptualised artworks also offer an in-depth view on Indonesian art while the artworks constantly aim to question the viewers on art creation and developments.
