Fendi Faces Peekaboo Bag 2016

  • By Rachel Ang

It’s going to be another fun-filled season with Fendi this Fall/Winter, with the introduction of its playful Fendi Faces detailing. In particular, the classic Peekaboo bag for men has received a fresh update with metal embellishments, making the classic a covetable addition to any accessory collection.

The introduction of the Bag Bugs range seasons ago was a milestone. Arguably, it marked the beginning of a new Fendi era, where the brand started to inject more humour into its pieces. The Bag Bugs range, which started as furry balls with huge glaring eyes, was a huge hit. Spawning wallets and clutches for the ladies, a more masculine Peekaboo bag was made for the gentlemen who wanted in on the action. It featured monster eyes glaring from the inner back of the briefcase-like accessory.

Instead of stopping at just a set of expressive eyes this time, the Italian luxury fashion house is now going full-faced in following up on the Bag Bugs’ success. Made out of high grade Roman calf leather, the Fall/Winter 2016 Peekaboo bag still features the same two compartments with a stiff leather partition; a zip, hidden front hook, and other hardware with a palladium finish; a briefcase handle directly attached to the bag; as well as an adjustable shoulder strap that can be easily detached and stowed away for a smarter look. In short, the classic piece has gotten a new dash of fun, making it the most versatile accessory for work, leisure, travel, and everything else in between.
