Eco-sustainability Goes High Fashion At Ermenegildo Zegna's F/W 15 Runway

Saving Gaia received a glamorously utilitarian approach at the Ermenegildo Zegna Couture’s Fall/Winter 2015 runway show.

Head Designer of Ermenegildo Zegna, Stefano Pilati, who interprets elements found in both natural and human environments to his collections, has revived his favoured inspiration for the latest Couture line. The collection’s story centres upon eco-solidarity and the symphony of sustainability.

The fashion and textiles industry has been long notorious for being one of the chief producers of waste, industrial water pollution and water consumption towards the creation of fabric, something that the Zegna group takes conscientious efforts to change through their commitment to social and environmental activities. Pilati’s Fall/Winter 2015 Couture range takes eco-awareness and spins it into a story, where the focus of the collection is the urban uniform for the eco-leader- business style and sporty accents combine with environmentally-friendly fabrics such as rubberized wools and recycled cashmere.
