Lifestyle brand and cult streestyle label, Stüssy is celebrating its 35th anniversary by partnering with brands who have inspired their label. On the list is preppy British brand, Fred Perry, who’s familiar aesthetic was born through the transformation from sportswear to streetwear through youth culture. Stüssy’s stronghold in Californian surfer culture since its genesis shows an inkling of similarity to the growth of the Fred Perry label and look.
For the Stüssy x Fred Perry 35 capsule collection, one can expect the blending of retro sportswear looks and a unique merging of brand emblems. The collection includes two full length tracksuits in mahogany and french navy, with the Stüssy SS-Link Logo and Fred perry archive B50 Laurel Wreath logo. The tracksuits are also emblazoned with back-neck Stüssy embroidery – something immediately identifiable for fans of the brand. Also in the range are two pique shirts. One is a long-sleeved cut and sew version in french mahogany and white, with taping across the chest; while the classic white polo T-shirt is comparable in detail. Street-worthy caps wrap up the smart, fresh line-up that is casual and versatile enough for everyday wear.
