This Spring/Summer 2015, Raf Simons is back with his 11th collaboration for Fred Perry. The collection is awash with tribal-inspired forms and prints, which add dashes of colour to monochromatic backgrounds. Simons’ effort to subvert the classic Fred Perry garment has resulted in pieces which include a slimmer and longer version of the brand’s signature slim-fit polo tee with detachable collar; a slim-cut black fishtail parka with all-tonal finishes aside from the single embroidered badge logo a screen-print of the names ‘Raf Simons’ and ‘Fred Perry’, along the inner waist belt of the jacket; an adaptation of the Raf Simons X Fred Perry slim city shorts, which now reference the 1950s tennis scene. This collection also sees the addition of a heavy jersey t-shirt and sweatshirt to the collaboration repertoire, with the latter designed in Privet Green with an abstract print across the front.
