Martell Celebrates 300 Years of French Art de Vivre with Diane Kruger

  • By Men's Folio

From alcohol aficionados to casual boozers, the brand Martell is known amongst practically everyone who enjoys a tipple. One of the oldest and grandest liquor houses, Martell has graced the cognac world with smooth, mellow spirits that pack a punch since 1715.

Cultivated during the French Art de Vivre era where gastronomy, craftsmanship and tasting were celebrated as decadent passions, Martell carries on the lasting appreciation for life’s finer things by announcing a slew of initiatives to celebrate their 300th anniversary.

Renowned for her sophistication and timeless appeal, German actress Diane Kruger has been appointed as the ambassador for the Tricentenaire celebrations. As part of her role, Kruger will be helming the “Martell France 300” project, an initiative to identify 300 talented individuals globally whose contributions have perpetuated the French Art de Vivre movement in the 21st century. In collaboration with L’Officiel magazine, the list will be curated and published in June 2015.

A series of international celebrations will also be held through the coming year by Martell to commemorate the momentous occasion in the brand’s history.
